My client is looking for a unique individual for a permanent position located in Wellington CBD. This role is paying between $80,000 to $110,000 per annum (depending on experience).
If you come from a technology background, studied IT, and confidently know your way around new technologies, that's a great start! The Role: Actively contributes to the work of Information Services Unit and supports the Manager Information Services.
Assists with creating an environment that helps staff make the best use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) to meet current and future needs.
Assists in a strategic approach to implementation of ICT by working on projects identified in the technology data and digital project schedule.
Assists in the research and development of solutions and evaluation and endorsement of new technologies to facilitate the use of ICT for the department.
Contributes to ICT project planning and participates in or manages ICT projects where needed.
Provides advice and guidance on digital information systems and government requirements (including protective security requirements) for the improvising and operating of ICT hardware and systems.
Works with business units to engage in sector and government required processes for systems risk assessments including certification and accreditation.
Key Responsibilities: Be the relationship manager between tech teams and vendors.
Contribute to technology policies, processes, and projects that ensure successful implementation.
Contribute to the delivery of Information Management Systems, including EDRMS, M365, D365, intranet, and website.
Provide advice and guidance to the Information Services Unit and Senior Management.
Liaise with Crown Agencies especially in the Education Sector, government ICT and IM groups, Suppliers, Consultants, Vendors.
Provide advice and guidance on education initiatives and stay up to date with technology.
