We are seeking to recruit a Technical Support Officer to be part of our 3 Waters team by providing a range of administrative and organisational support services based within our hard working and talented Infrastructure Services department. You'll have a great opportunity to work on a variety of important tasks whilst learning great new skills.

What will you do?

The successful candidate will hold responsibility for a variety of important duties including, but not limited to:

Carrying out a variety of administrative duties, ensuring a high level of accuracy is maintained at all times.

Providing an exceptional level of customer service to both internal employees and external parties.

Ensuring service levels for our consumers in both Drinking Water, Storm Water and Wastewater are met and measured.

Creating and updating reports whilst ensuring that databases are sufficiently maintained.

Undertaking contractor and BDC site audits, performance and safety checks.

Collaborating with other departments to ensure that all departmental and companywide goals are met.

Our ideal candidate will be highly skilled in carrying out a number of administrative duties, with an ability to deliver an exceptional level of customer service. Additionally, you will have an interest in infrastructure with a great desire to provide a thorough, high quality service level for our community.

Personally, you will be a customer centric, detail orientated all-rounder who enjoys working collaboratively with others and is a team player.

To be considered for this position, you must have:

Current full New Zealand Driver's License (essential for this position).

Skills and experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Experience of working in a local government or utility network provider in a similar role would be particularly advantageous for this position.

Great working knowledge of numerous computer packages such as Microsoft Office.

Excellent administration and customer service skills.

The ability to carry out a range of reporting duties, ensuring data is captured and presented both accurately and timely.

High level of computer literacy.

Excellent time management skills.

Proficiency at proof reading documents.

Excellent listening, interpersonal & presentation skills.

Proficiency in written and oral communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, concise reports.

Honesty, integrity & reliability.

Resilience and the ability to work under pressure.
