About the Role The Network Technical Engineer (NTE) is a highly skilled professional responsible for mastering the customer network solution and serving as the authority for any changes applied to the network. Their primary objective is to ensure the on-time and error-free implementation of detailed technical designs for network components, maximizing service quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and provide advice on the technical solutions from the operational point of view during the pre-sales phase.
Contribute to and provide operational validation of High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents during the project phase.
Provide advice on network migration strategy and site migration plan.
Prepare and implement device configurations across network components, considering customer design specifics and aiming for zero outage.
Oversee the handover of the technical design & the customized technical guidelines & procedures to operations.
Adhere to the Change Management process as a Change Implementer, ensuring clear scope of work (SOW) and conducting risk assessments.
Facilitate the Release Management Policy by implementing device upgrades and ensuring consistency in deployed releases for the customer.
Conduct regular configuration audits and perform network maintenance, aligning parameters with engineering standards, customer requirements, and security protocols.
Collaborate actively with project teams during transition activities and with Service Management teams (CSM, Service Desk, etc.) during the operational phase.
Provide Level 3 support as part of the Incident Management process, leveraging in-depth knowledge of the customer network solution.
Investigate and resolve underlying causes of network-related problems. Provide expert advice on root cause analysis.
For major and complex incidents, offer technical recommendations for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and Continual Improvement programs.
Responsible for customer network changes during the operational phase.
Own customer network documentation during the operational phase.
Implement and maintain network security measures, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards.
Identify areas for improvement in network services, proposing and implementing changes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and security.
About You 5-10 years hands-on experience in implementation and operational support of large-scale enterprise networks.
Strong hands-on experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routing and switching.
Proven track record in hands-on implementation and operational support on SD-WAN.
Expert level in WAN, LAN, SDWAN, IPSEC, QoS.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to articulate technical issues verbally and in writing.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
