We are seeking a passionate, professional, and experienced Technical Business Analyst to join our dynamic team on a 12-month fixed-term basis to contribute to the success of our organisation's IT Strategy and goals.
In this fixed-term role reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and enabling the transformation and replacement of the Christchurch Casinos CMS System and supporting business platforms.
In this role, you will be carrying out technical business analysis duties, capturing and documenting the business process mapping, and supporting the Casino Team through the planning and delivery of the projects and workstreams. You will need to be up to date with industry best practice including toolsets and techniques used to enable successful delivery.
Ideally, you will have a sound understanding of SQL databases, proven process mapping abilities, experience with Cloud environments and ERP systems, and possess the confidence to understand and configure the environments to meet the business requirements. There will also be a requirement to provide support to the data migration work stream which will involve planning, identifying, and tracking migration activities.
In addition to your technical expertise, you should be a proactive and detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work independently, and within a team environment.
Experience/Qualifications: A relevant tertiary qualification (Business Analysis or Project Management eg. BABOK, IIBA accreditation, ICAgile, Prince2, PMBOK or Agile)
Minimum 5 years' experience in business analysis, process mapping, requirements analysis and business process re-engineering
Knowledge of business analysis techniques and tools, and ability to use a wide range of approaches.
Proven ability to work in detail and at a high level, with a range of stakeholders, both technical and non-technical.
Experienced user of a range of applications, such as MS Project, Visio, Office365 to manage requirements, stakeholder interactions, process mapping, and analysis planning.
Experience of the software development lifecycle and Agile and Waterfall approaches to projects (desirable).
Primarily, the work will be completed during normal working hours of 0900 – 1700 however the ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the projects would prove advantageous.
This is a licensed position within the Christchurch Casino and requires a Certificate of Approval (COA) issued by the Department of Internal Affairs. To meet the criteria, you will need to be at least 20 years of age, have a clean police record, and be a NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident.
