This role as a Team Manager in Client Services will be responsible for managing a large team or teams within the Foreign Tax Operations space who provide a seamless experience to customers across Aotearoa joining Westpac or requiring ongoing due-diligence. You and your team will be working to successfully deliver seamless back-office support to the Bank. Successful management includes continuous improvement with expectation that the Team Manager will identify areas of improvement, engage with business partners as required and present fully formed solutions to their manager.
Team Managers are responsible for the production management of core functional tasks and effectively utilising available workforce whilst remaining within departmental budgets. A focus of the Team Manager will be to work with business unit leaders and specialists to achieve and maintain the required skill level and flexibility within the team. You will have a commitment to an achievement culture by delivering effective coaching, both developmental and technical to team and individuals.

An understanding of risk management within a financial environment
Customer centric, a team-player that exhibits drive, resilience and high levels of personal integrity and professionalism
AML/CFT knowledge is advantageous
Sound knowledge of/or willingness to learn about Westpac Policies (i.ePIC Policy).
Expert knowledge of the financial services industry, within a Business to Business environment
Proven problem solving and planning skills with a strong accountability of maintaining operational and compliance excellence
Strong commercial acumen to ensure solutions deliver value to both the customer and Westpac.
Excellent knowledge of the interface process between various business units in order to fulfil client needs.
