About the role As the Team Lead - Technical Assurance, you will play a role in developing and implementing an assurance program to ensure the safety and reliability of our network.
Your responsibilities will include: Strategic Planning: Develop a yearly tactical plan for operational assurance, covering a range of assurance activities to enhance safety and reliability across our assets.
Technical Leadership: Lead and manage a team of operational assurance auditors, leveraging your technical expertise to ensure the delivery of high-quality audits, reviews, and reports.
Program Development: Develop and execute an assurance program for the wider business, covering various aspects of operational quality and compliance, with a focus on engineering principles and practices.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination of assurance activities, leveraging your engineering background to facilitate technical discussions.
Policy Development: Develop and implement operational assurance standards, policies, and procedures, as well as assurance metrics and indicators, to drive consistency and effectiveness in assurance activities.
Audits and Assessments: Perform assurance audits and assessments, utilizing your engineering knowledge to identify and resolve operational issues and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Design and develop operational assurance solutions, such as dashboards, scorecards, and reports, using your technical skills to interpret data and provide actionable insights.
Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and guidance to team members, sharing your technical knowledge and promoting best practices in operational assurance.
Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in the assurance program, using your engineering expertise to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
It would be ideal if you have: Extensive experience in operational assurance, quality management, or related fields, preferably within the energy or utilities sector.
Bachelor's degree in Quality, Risk Management, Business Administration or a related field.
Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and collaboration, with the ability to build effective partnerships across diverse teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strategic mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards related to operational quality, safety, and environmental assurance.
