Teacher of Visual Art & Photography (2 Positions) Full time, Permanent
Secondary (Years 7–15) / Wharekura, Certificated Teacher
Papakura High School is seeking two enthusiastic and creative visual arts and/or photography teachers for 2025 to teach Y9–13.
Responsibilities:
Teach visual arts and photography to students in Years 9–13.
Engage with students, staff, and whanau to build meaningful, positive relationships.
Foster a culturally responsive and relationship-based pedagogy.
Raise student achievement and uphold high expectations.
Work effectively in a culturally diverse school and community.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience at all levels of NCEA.
Familiarity with Adobe suite, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator.
Genuine passion for art education.
New Zealand teacher registration and certification (to be obtained before commencing).
