Details of the offer

About the organisation:

LSNZ Christchurch is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and experienced teacher to join our small team. The school has been in operation for the past 30 years and has provided high-quality English education to international tertiary students since opening. Currently, we have a great mix of different nationalities at our school, which leads to a truly diverse and unique experience when you step into one of our classrooms.

Our mission statement is 'to be the best language school in New Zealand' and during our two recent audits with English New Zealand and NZQA, it was found that the school is performing as 'highly confident' in all areas of service delivery.

Our teachers are highly motivated and committed to delivering the best possible learning outcomes for our students, and we are seeking a new teacher with a similar passion.

Job description:
A Teacher of English at LSNZ is expected to prepare and teach professional lessons in accordance with our school curriculum. This also entails keeping a clear and accurate record of lessons taught including attendance and providing timely information relating to student learning and progress to the Director of Studies. Teachers are also asked to provide a short speech for their students at our Friday graduation ceremony. Teachers are expected to attend weekly staff meetings and regular professional development sessions. All teachers are expected to always maintain a good rapport with every student at the school, whilst always treating everyone with dignity and respect.
