Matamata College is a Y9–13 state secondary school in Matamata, Waikato. We have a proud history of student achievement since 1918. We are seeking an experienced English teacher with expertise in literacy support and/or ESOL. The purpose of this fixed-term project position is to establish an ESOL programme at Matamata College, with continuance of this role being determined following a review at the end of the fixed-term period.
The successful applicant will be collaborative, organised, relational, and capable of catering to a wide range of learning needs. You will need to be an engaging and culturally responsive teacher, with a genuine passion for working with young people from other cultures.
A willingness to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school is encouraged.
