We are seeking a technology teacher to join our collaborative and creative team . There is flexibility in this role to teach design and visual communication (DVC) , product design , or both, depending on your strengths and experience.
Ormiston Senior College is a Y11–13 school with a focus on student agency and personalised learning .

Product design at Ormiston Senior College is centered on the design process, encouraging students to explore and innovate through practical, hands-on learning. Competency in CAD, CAM, and 3D printing would be ideal to support the depth of learning in this subject area.
A successful candidate will demonstrate:
Expertise in design and visual communication and/or product design
Skills in CAD, CAM, and 3D printing to enhance student learning in product design
Experience and ability to work with and support Maori and Pacific akonga
A commitment to collaborative teaching and learning across curriculum areas
The ability to form strong relationships with akonga and whanau
A developing understanding of matauranga Maori and how it can enrich design teaching
A desire to honour obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi .
All members of our teaching staff also serve as learning advisors , guiding students in their academic and personal pathways.
