We are seeking an energetic, compassionate teacher to join our well-established Supported Learning Centre. Extremely Well-Supported Team: You'll be guided by our experienced team leader and work alongside capable Learning Support Assistants (LSAs). Strong Collaboration: Work closely with staff to share responsibilities and foster a supportive, collaborative atmosphere. Liaison with Families and Specialists: Collaborate with families, the Ministry of Education, and specialists, including Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, and Speech and Language Therapists. Individual Education Plans (IEPs): Lead the creation, writing, and hosting of IEPs for each student twice a year. Sports Support: Assist in organising sports events, writing RAMS, and supporting students during activities. Foundation Learners: Provide meaningful, structured learning experiences with clear, relevant content. About you: Primary or Early Childhood Training: Essential for this role. Well-Organised and Flexible: Able to juggle multiple tasks while adapting to student needs. Reflective and Forward-Thinking: Constantly seeking ways to improve your teaching practices. Calm Under Pressure: Composed in challenging situations, including managing student behaviours and multiple demands. Commitment to Professional Development: Eager to grow and take on professional learning opportunities in special education.
