Mangakotukutuku College is seeking a teacher in charge of ESOL who is passionate about supporting multilingual learners and has strong organisational skills. This role offers the opportunity to lead and grow our ESOL programme while making a real difference in the lives of students.
About the role: As the teacher in charge of ESOL, you will:
Lead the delivery and development of the ESOL programme.
Ensure all Ministry of Education documentation, paperwork, and reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
Track student progress and maintain detailed records to meet Ministry compliance and audit standards.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to provide effective language support strategies.
Liaise with students, whanau, and external agencies to enhance learning outcomes.
Foster an inclusive environment where all learners can succeed socially and academically.
What we're looking for: A registered teacher with experience in ESOL or supporting English language learners.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage paperwork, reporting, and compliance effectively.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
A collaborative mindset to work with staff, students, and whanau.
Commitment to the values and culture of our school community.
