Health NZ | Te Whatu Ora - MidCentral is looking for an experienced senior nurse to join the Integrated Operations team as a Systems Flow Clinical Coordinator. This position provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced registered nurse to undertake a leadership role with full support and mentorship.
The purpose of this role is to provide clinical and nursing leadership and management to facilitate the effective day-to-day safe operation of services and to support acute flow.
No two days will be the same; this is a new role and the successful individual has the opportunity to shape the role. The work will include a clinical safety overview of patient areas, capacity planning, and supporting initiatives to enable acute patient flow. It is a solution-oriented role supporting our hospital to implement and monitor performance in the Acute Flow Operational Standards.
This is a fixed-term, 24-month position based at Palmerston North Hospital.
Key requirements:
Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) and holder of a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
Postgraduate certificate/diploma in specialty nursing practice or health leadership/management
Minimum of five years' experience post registration in relevant nursing specialty
Current Designated Senior Nurse Professional Development and Recognition Programme (PDRP) Portfolio
Working towards completion of Master's Degree
Demonstrated effectiveness in delegation and supervision of nurses and ability to work in the interdisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to understand and implement contemporary practice and work in a complex clinical environment
