As a key member of the Information & Solutions team, you will have the opportunity to work on some innovative projects including the implementation of a new marketing technology stack. Your key responsibility will be to maintain accurate, reliable, and secure data across various systems, enabling omnichannel customer communication journeys.
Collaborating closely with our Innovation Hub team and senior technical staff, you will support the creation, support, and maintenance of new databases and MarTech applications (CDP, Cloud Data Warehouse, CRM, Integrations). You will be responsible for the performance and health of our databases and platforms as well as ensuring policies and compliance are met. This role will also support the DevOps function, ensuring release processes are followed. Effective communication and collaboration will be essential as you deliver high-quality, innovative solutions that align with our objectives and drive positive change.
Responsibilities:
Database set up: Support senior team members with the setup of databases and new systems.
Database Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor database performance, implementing necessary changes and optimizations.
Application configuration: Manage and document application configuration changes.
DevOps: Manage DevOps release processes.
Policy and Procedure Management: Develop, enforce, and document database policies, procedures, and standards, including PCI-DSS compliance.
Regular Testing and Evaluation: Conduct regular tests and evaluations to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity.
Platform Health Monitoring: Enhance platform health by setting up automatic alerting workflows and monitoring system performance.
Incident Reporting and Risk Management: Report data-related incidents and contribute to the risk register to manage and mitigate risks effectively.

About you:
Proven experience in a database administration role.
Experience with Cloud Data Warehouses (Snowflake – a bonus).
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
Experience with on-premise and cloud databases/systems.
Experience with DevOps processes (Azure DevOps preferred).
Experience with CDPs (preferred, Tealium or Segment a bonus).
Experience with Jira or similar service desk.
Experience with incident response management (preferred).
Current eligibility to work in New Zealand.
