We are on the lookout for an experienced Survey Technician or Surveyor to join the team at Accurate Surveying in Tauranga.
Accurate Surveying is a small firm based in Bethlehem that services the wider Bay of Plenty region. We have a diverse range of work on across civil construction and land development. We pride ourselves on providing the best service to our clients and have a strong pipeline of work. We are a team of 3 technicians working under the guidance of a licensed cadastral surveyor. The role would be a mix of office and field work using modern surveying equipment.
We are searching for someone who has:
A land surveying qualification
2+ years experience with civil construction, land development and building projects in New Zealand
Knowledge of project methodologies including earthworks, drainage, roading, structures and utilities
Experience with survey and drafting software. We currently operate Civil 3D, Magnet Survey and AutoCad
Experience with a DJI drone would be beneficial along with experience with surface model manipulation
Basic Civil design. Some design may be required however this is more for problem solving existing Civil design challenges encountered in the field
An orientation toward learning and development particularly in software skills and data manipulation
Attention to detail and strong communication skills
Ability to build relationships with clients and other team members
Ability to work independently and self-manage jobs to completion
Full clean NZ drivers license

In this role you will:
Undertake pre-calculations to enable fieldwork
Carry out fieldwork with or without a chainman. Solve problems in the field, complete checks and work to expected tolerances
Set out precise construction works and land development infrastructure
Carry out land transfer surveys with guidance of a licensed cadastral surveyor
Liaise with clients and other professionals as required.
Project management of surveying jobs i.e. be the main point of contact for some infrastructure projects
Foster strong positive relationships with clients, other professionals and the Accurate Surveying team
The position is full time Monday-Friday 40 hours per week.
