We are currently looking for Support Workers in the Waipu area. We have both casual and permanent positions available, depending on your skills and availability. Flexibility is essential, as shifts will include days, nights, weekends, and 12-hour shifts to support our client's 24/7 needs.
Key Responsibilities
Providing personalised support to individuals in their own home in accordance with care plans and preferences.
Duties vary depending on our client's individual needs; some of the tasks are likely to include assisting with personal cares, meal preparation, medication administration, and household tasks.
Promoting independence and social inclusion by facilitating community outings, recreational activities, and social interactions.
Building positive relationships with clients, families, and other stakeholders to ensure a supportive and collaborative environment.
Documenting client progress, observations, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements
Working with Spinal Cord Injury clients or support worker experience is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with diverse needs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Hold a full , clean Driver Licence and have access to a reliable car.
Willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
What we Offer
Competitive hourly rate ranging from $24.08 per hour up to $29.98 per hour depending on relevant qualifications, and paid travel. Sleepover shift is paid at $23.15 per hour.
