Support Worker - Whanganui

We are looking for an individual who is an empathetic experienced support worker who is able to walk alongside a young man in his next chapter in life.
You will be part of a small team who are passionate about providing a positive influence to a young man in his home. The team will be providing a safe home environment where he can learn new skills, independence and interact with others in his community doing the activities he enjoys.

Work Schedule: This role is 40 hours per fortnight working:
Week 1: Saturday 8am – 4.30pm
Week 2: Friday 4.15pm – 8.15am (the following day) and Sunday 4.15pm – 8.15am (the following day)

Skills and Experience: A passion for people, be patient, friendly and kind
Previous experience working within the Disability or Mental Health Sector
The ability to understand and connect with others including complex behaviours
Professionalism, honesty and be a reliable team player with a flexible approach
Energy, enthusiasm and enjoyment of the outdoors
Full NZ Driver Licence
A NZ Certificate in Health & Wellbeing or similar preferrable
