About the role The role of a Support Worker - Te Whai Oranga is to find positive creative solutions for people who have complex issues that create barriers for successful community living and supports them to problem solve a pathway forward to independent living. These are full time permanent roles and planned to work through a roster pattern. About you Applicants for this role would ideally have sound knowledge of the Mental Health/Social Services support systems. You will also have a cultural awareness, knowledge of, and demonstrable commitment to, the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. Flexible, adaptable, and confident you will be able to make well considered decisions. You also understand the need for strong professional boundaries and a good work ethic.?? It is desirable to hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing - Level 4 (or a recognised equivalent) or be willing to undertake study towards this qualification with our support.
