One of our guests requires specialised care due to complex physical and mental health needs, which include wheelchair utilization and manual handling equipment.If you're eager to contribute to a whaiora's journey towards independence, we want to hear from you. Join us in providing exceptional care, support, and companionship, and help shape a future of empowerment for our guests.As a support worker, some of your responsibilities may include:Supporting people with budgetingComprehensive note taking and handoversSupporting people to regain their mental health and independenceProviding culturally competent careSupporting people with independent daily living skillsAssisting with cleaning, cooking, gardening, or helping out with everyday household tasks.While the people you support are asleep, you will be kept busy with other tasks like cleaning and supporting the day shifts with maintaining things like filing, first aid kits, emergency kits, and preparation of paperwork.Shifts AvailableRole 1: Tuesday to Saturday, 3.00pm - 11.30pmRole 2: Friday to Saturday, 11.00pm - 7.30am (Awake Shift)Role 3: Friday to Monday, 3.00pm - 11.30pmPlease advise on your cover letter which shift you are applying for.Minimum Requirements:A current full New Zealand driver's licenceA current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain oneHold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent or be currently studying towards this qualification or a recognised equivalent.Applications Close | Ra Katinga: 16 November 2024.
