Ka Puta Ka Ora Emerge Aotearoa is a national provider of mental health, addiction, disability, offender rehabilitation, wellbeing and housing services. In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whanau be the best they can be.Providing support within our Mauri Ora service, you will join clients on their recovery journey, providing a safe environment for our clients and supporting them with their goals and daily tasks.Joining our multi-disciplined team, you'll be working in a 24-hour residential service. The clients within this service are aged between 18 to 65 and have suffered significant disruption due to ill mental health and/or addiction.The service aims to provide a safe and nurturing space where whanau feel supported to live their best life.You'll provide direct support to tangata whaiora but will also be given the opportunity to upskill and train further in the mental health field. You will be well supported by your colleagues, service manager, health professionals, and the wider whanau. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a direct impact on the lives of people in the community to help them to reconnect, learn, grow and live as independently as possible.We have 3 casual positions available. Casual work consists of no guaranteed hours; however, it is a great way to experience a variety of services and allows you to work flexibly. We aim to give a minimum of 24 hours' notice of any casual shifts available.The successful applicant will demonstrate an empathic and solutions-focused outlook when managing conflict, as well as excellent skills around planning and advancing persons towards achieving goals.To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have the following:A Level 4 (or higher) qualification in Mental Health and Addiction or be working towards onePrevious experience within the mental health and/or addiction sectorStrong understanding of Maori and Pacifica cultures is preferredA Full New Zealand Driving LicenseMe pehea te tono mai | How to applyClick the apply button now and upload your CV and cover letter telling us about yourself!
