About the role As the Supplier Compliance & Technical Support SME you'll be part of the Regulatory Services Team responsible for supporting Foodstuffs North Island and our Suppliers in meeting the Regulatory Compliance requirements to support safe and suitable products to our customers. You'll be a trusted partner, proactively identifying solutions that enable positive business outcomes.
Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Regulatory Technical Analyst in ensuring continuous supplier compliance using the current available systems and investigating new opportunities for continuous improvement.Acting as the GS1 ProductRecallNZ point of contact and SME for MPI, Suppliers and GS1.Managing and Supporting the Regulatory Specialist Recall On-call service.Playing a key role in contributing to the technical standards used to manage and support Foodstuffs and our Suppliers.Reviewing supplier performance/compliance data to identify risk/trends and to facilitate meetings with suppliers and merchandise teams to ensure corrective actions are undertaken.Being responsible for providing technical support to assist the RST in complying with legislated standards that support supplier compliance, food safety and the requirements of the Food Act 2014, Fair Trading and Weights & Measures Acts and the Food Standards Code.Governing product and labelling compliance and being the key go-to person for the merchandise team when suppliers want to introduce new products.Managing and supporting suppliers with labelling reviews for Foodstuffs seasonal imported product.Providing technical support that requires research in unfamiliar fields as and when they arise.About you You'll have proven experience in the management of the GS1 Product RecallNZ System and experience in implementing/working with HACCP based Food Safety Programmes or Food Control Plans with a good understanding of the ANZ Food Standards Code. Ideally you'll also have a tertiary degree in one of the food sciences with proven ability to utilise the theory in the real world.
You'll also have:
