Structural Drafting Team Lead

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Structural Draftsperson to lead their drafting team in West Auckland. They have built a solid reputation over the years, tackling high-profile projects, such as marinas, multi-sports centres, and urban developments.This role offers a leadership opportunity for an experienced professional with 10+ years of New Zealand-based drafting experience. The ideal candidate will have strong client focus, prior leadership experience, and excellent communication skills. You'll manage drafting projects, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with engineers and architects to deliver exceptional designs.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor the drafting team, ensuring all work complies with New Zealand building codes and industry standards.Create detailed structural drawings for materials such as reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.Collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver innovative, high-quality structural designs.Oversee drafting workloads, ensuring accurate, timely project delivery.Provide technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle and maintain a strong client focus.Skills & Experience:10+ years of structural drafting experience within New Zealand.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant BIM tools.Strong understanding of New Zealand building codes and regulations.Prior leadership experience, with the ability to guide and mentor junior staff.Excellent communication and client management skills.This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team in a forward-thinking consultancy as they look to get the jump on 2025.If you would be interested in learning more, please apply via the advert or reach out to Jordan directly.
