Stos Teacher

Position: Primary and Intermediate (Years 1–8) / Kura Tuatahi, Certificated Teacher
Subject Areas: English, Mathematics, and Statistics
We require a registered teacher who has experience working with ORS funded students. We are looking for a special person to join our STOS team to do specialist outreach work in mainstream schools. You will need to have experience working with neurodiverse students and be able to utilise a range of appropriate teaching strategies to meet their needs. You could be required to work in a variety of schools with students of all ages, and alongside other professionals. Your role is to support students in their learning alongside a multidisciplinary team – inclusive of teachers, support staff, therapists, specialists, and MOE staff. We have a supportive team who can assist you in this important work.
Hamilton North School is a specialist school for children and young people who have additional and complex learning needs. Our STOS team is based in our school, but individuals work across a variety of mainstream schools who request our service.
