Stock Manager – Weka Farm – West Coast

The Opportunity
Join us on Weka Farm as a Stock Manager, working closely with a supportive farm manager in planning and executing farming operations and pasture management to optimise and improve operational processes and animal performance.
You will be part of a high-performing team of three, valuing communication and collaboration.
Your days could include stock shifts, break fencing, measuring pasture, feeding calves, and managing farm data records in Farm IQ. Your knowledge in growing young stock, best practice animal health standards, and feed budgeting will be highly valued.
Weka Farm operates a 5/2 roster with 1 in every 3 weekends.
The Farm
Weka is a 1,484 effective hectare property with approximately 12,000 su in total, including beef breeding and finishing, dairy beef, and dairy heifer grazing.
The farm features diverse land classes, with a significant portion dedicated to finishing country and a substantial calf-rearing facility, raising 1,400 calves annually.
About You
You are a passionate and experienced Stock Manager with a can-do attitude and strong work ethic. You will bring your genuine enthusiasm along with proven skills and experience in pasture and stock management, including:

Excellent attention to detail for maintaining records
Commitment to high standards of quality and safety
1-2 working dogs
Experience in people management skills
A current New Zealand full driver's licence
Proven ability to plan and prioritise
