Remarks: Company is looking for a Senior Director Pricing Reimbursement to join our Commercial team in Marlborough, MA

- The Senior Director will generate the pricing strategies and develop evidence and modeling in support of in-line and pipeline forecasts for launch gross and net prices. He/she will also closely monitor the external pricing environment from both a competitive and policy perspective to create price recommendations to Market Access and Brand leadership.
- Price development will require the individual to lead secondary and primary pricing research, create price models, build pricing justifications for executive review, and present pricing proposals to the Contracting and Pricing Committee (CPC) working group and CPC executive team for review and approval. This individual will create financial and economic models to facilitate decision making in support of price strategies and channel or payer impacts. The individual will also be responsible for formulating global ex-US pricing strategies.
- The Senior Director Pricing & Reimbursement Strategy will assimilate insights from various payers, CMS, customers, opinion leaders, and available research regarding the changing payer landscape and apply this knowledge to real-world settings.This individual will monitor the changing policy and payer landscape expansion by state, Accountable Care Organizations, (Pricing scrutiny and controls, Industry consolidation, benefit design trends, strategic account trends, medical loss ratios, quality metrics, low-income subsidies, and Health Reform).
- The Senior Director will inform key Company stakeholders and transform information into actionable strategies, tactics and financial impact for the Managed Markets department, Forecasting, Company brands and extended team members; as well as, their customers.
- This individual will collaborate closely with Contract Development & Assessment, Revenue Deduction Forecasting, Market Access and Brand Marketing, Account Directors, Institutional Sales, Government Affairs, HEOR, Legal, and Commercial Analytics to ensure development of optimal business strategies, resources and to inform forecasting. This individual will also be expected to keep various stakeholders, including but not limited to senior and corporate executives, informed about changes and emerging issues in the broad, managed customer environments and share the subsequent implications for Company.

Essential Functions:

- Take complex concepts and large information sets and be able to quickly consolidate finding into meaningful and salient points for the company. (Both verbal and written).
- Work with cross-functional internal partners (Managed Markets Marketing, Account Directors, Brand Marketing, State Government Affairs, Sales, HEOR, Medical, Legal, Commercial Analytics and other key internal stakeholders) to understand business needs and develop appropriate strategies.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the dynamics driving the various managed markets segments and channels including Commercial Managed Care, Medicare, Medicaid, Exchanges, Trade, and Integrated Delivery Systems/Systems of Care, Accountable Care Organizations, Group Practices and Institutions.

Minimum Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:

- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance or other applicable business discipline. MBA preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, with a minimum of 3 years within Government Affairs, Marketing and/or Managed Markets. Must have experience in at least of two areas: Managed Care Marketing, Contracting, Pricing, Brand Marketing, Sales, Account Management, Pharmacy, Government Affairs or Integrated Delivery Systems/Systems of Care.
- Strong knowledge of pricing frameworks and application to both pharmacy & medical benefit reimbursed products
- Comprehensive understanding of US healthcare system including providers, payers (public and private) and influencers.
- US and Global Pricing and utilization analytics.
- Strong platform skills. The ability to consolidate complex concepts into crisp and meaningful messages.
- Capable of building initiatives, teams, consensus from the ground up.
- Experience within psychiatry and/or neurology therapeutic areas preferred, but not required.
- Analytical skills including experience in conducting research, data mining, modeling, or contract analysis.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to identify problems and barriers and quickly assimilate information to develop actionable and effective solutions.
- Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity in a highly matrixed environment.
- Track record of results-based accomplishments.
- Experience with the Legal, Medical, Regulatory review process.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with limited consultation from supervisor.
- Management of direct reports desirable, but not a requirement.
