Spray Operator - Fixed Term
Do you enjoy working outdoors, have a strong work ethic, and hold a full NZ driver's license?If so, this role could be perfect for you! We're on the lookout for a motivated and energetic Spray Operator to join our team, taking charge of vegetation control in our local parks and reserves. This fixed-term position begins ASAP and runs through to the end of April 2025.
What does a Spray Operator do?
As a Spray Operator, you'll take on a variety of tasks to help maintain our beautiful green spaces, including:
Chemical spraying and applying organic herbicides
Manually removing weeds and pest plants
Operating spray equipment and machinery
Planting and pruning roses, shrubs, and perennials
Assisting with other tasks as needed to support our team
Who we're looking for
Ideally, you'll have some experience in pest plant management, but it's not essential. What matters most is a can-do attitude, a love for working outdoors, and a desire to make a positive impact. Key qualities we're looking for include:
A clean, full NZ driver's license (manual preferred)
Team spirit and a positive attitude – helping your teammates should come naturally
Commitment to health and safety procedures
High motivation with a strong work ethic
Physical fitness – this role involves plenty of walking
