You will be exposed to in-patient, out-patient and community settings across a variety of adult populations.The current SLT team at Hutt hospital comprises a small number of experienced, caring, innovative and flexible professionals who are delighted to sustain their current service offering with your assistance while one of the team is on parental leave. We provide a rich learning environment in a hospital setting that encompasses exposure to a broad variety of specialities.Essential qualifications, skills and experience in the ideal candidate:Knowledge, Skills & Experience:2 years + clinical practice preferred; New Graduates can be accommodatedClinical experience within the areas of Adult out-patients, Adult Community patients, and/or Inpatient wards is preferableClinical experience doing swallowing assessments (bedside assessments as well as instrumental assessments)Experience providing communication solutions for patients with complex communication difficulties/needsEssential Professional Qualifications / Accreditations / Registrations:NZSTA Annual Practising CertificateCurrent member of the NZSTAQualification with an NZSTA accredited or approved Speech-language Therapy program (BSc.
