We have a permanent, part-time opportunity for a NZ registered Speech-language Therapist, the position is suitable for a New Graduate or an Experienced Therapist who has an interest in working with the paediatric population.The Child Development Service is a team of experienced Allied Health therapists who work with children and their families who live in the Coastal Otago region. We are a child and Whanau focused service and as such we work in both centre and community settings. The centre is based at Dunedin Hospital which is centrally located in Dunedin City.This position would suit a Speech-language therapist who is keen to work as part of a team and can provide a whanau and child focused approach. Your work would consist of developmental assessments, designing and implementing both group and individual therapy sessions, and devising therapy plans for children with communication challenges. Your caseload would be varied with children with a range of presentations that result in communication and feeding challenges.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.
