Core or Senior Speech-Language Therapist – Te Whatu Ora LakesPermanent, Part time or Full time (24 hrs to 40 hrs per week)

Te Whatu Ora Lakes are seeking an enthusiastic Speech Language Therapist to join our fantastic Allied Health team. You will be based at Rotorua hospital and support both inpatient and outpatient care. There will be some opportunity to visit Taupo base hospital. While the role is pivoted towards adult care, there is also opportunity to provide dysphagia care to paediatric patients dependent on your skills and experience. This position could be suitable for either a new graduate who would like the opportunity to grow and develop their generalist skills in multiple areas in a supportive environment or equally a senior clinician who wants to take their clinical practice to the next level. There is the opportunity for this role to be a designated position of Senior Speech Language Therapist, with opportunities to develop clinical leadership skills, depending on the experience level of the applicant. The service has access to FEES, VFSS and stroboscopy clinics.
You will be supported by the Service Manager Clinical Support Services / Director of Allied Health and the professional leader/team leader of Speech Language Therapy. As an SLT working across the organisation, you will be highly valued by our supportive multi-disciplinary teams.

Our preferred candidate will have:
Previous experience of delivering care in hospital setting, including use of FEES and VFSS (although training can be provided)
The ability to work within a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A deep commitment to address equity issues within our community.
This position will require you to have NZSTA registration. Remuneration will be aligned with your experience.
Awhe utu / Salary range
Remuneration as per the PSA Allied Health MECA (between Step 1 $77,087 and DA3 $117,420 depending on level of experience and position description criteria).
