Nursing - Community, Maternal & Child Health (Healthcare & Medical)Contract/TempDo you want to work with an experienced team of palliative care nurses whose goal each day is to help patients live every moment?At Hospice West Auckland we provide community-based specialist palliative care. Our model of care is nurse-led, you will have the opportunity to work with the diverse people of our community, enabling you to build relationships and to contribute compassionately to their wellbeing, and to support their whanau and carers.The Role:To ensure our quality service can continue, we are looking for a Specialist Palliative Care Nurse to join our team on a fixed term basis, to provide cover for parental leave. The role is to start mid-January 2025 for a year (Approx. - there may be the potential to extend for a further six months).You will be passionate about providing excellent holistic palliative care in the community within a growing and supportive multidisciplinary team. Along with a great team of colleagues from many disciplines, you will work in collaboration with primary and secondary health and community providers.This role is 0.8 FTE working Tuesday - Friday. You will need to be able to work autonomously and be proactive and flexible. Clean full NZ drivers' licence is essential as you will be driving a Hospice car for your work. Our nurses are well equipped to provide care in the community, from nursing bag to laptop and phone. You can expect to work 8 hours a day, between 8am and 6.30pm.As a nurse at Hospice West Auckland, you will be closely supported by clinicians to guide your development in the specialty of palliative care.Hospice West Auckland's core values are compassion - ngakau aroha, togetherness - kotahitanga, accountability – kaitiaki taonga, innovation – aronga whanoke, and respect – wairua whakaute.
