Specialist Oral Surgery Receptionist

We are looking for a reliable and considerate colleague to join our small but efficient team in the role of Receptionist for our Oral Surgeon, Dr. Peter Hill.

You will be working in a spacious modern practice conveniently located in Remarkables Park shopping centre with weekday hours and no evening or weekends.
This is a part-time role, the roster is set out as below: Week one: 20 hours (Monday - Friday) Week two: 30-35 hours (Monday - Friday) Week three: 30-35 hours (Monday - Friday) Week four: 20 hours (Monday - Friday) Key Responsibilities: Scheduling and confirming patient appointments.
Processing referrals.
Greeting patients in person and over the phone in a friendly and professional manner.
Responding to patient emails and queries.
Processing payments and managing patient files.
Assisting with other admin duties as requested.
Documenting patient details, appointment notes, clinical notes, and treatment plans accurately as directed by the provider.
Assisting in taking and processing dental X-rays & 3D CBCT imaging.
Providing patient care and support, including explaining procedures and answering questions.
Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times, both within and outside of work.
Personal Qualities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate with patients.
Organizational skills to manage patient records and scheduling.
Basic computer skills and proficiency with electronic health record software is preferred.
Detail-oriented, professional, empathetic, and patient-focused.
Ability to work well in a team and handle stressful situations with tact and diplomacy.
Excellent customer service skills with a confident and professional telephone manner.
Ability to show sympathy and care to patients.
Highly organized.
