Our Opportunity:
We are seeking a Specialist Engineer - Pressure Equipment to join our team where you will support the management of pressure equipment assets and ensure Mercury's compliance with pressure equipment regulations by providing technical support and oversight across Mercury. This role is the foremost engineering authority and subject matter expert for pressure equipment at Mercury.
In this role you will report to the Generating Assets Engineering Manager and be joining a team of 10 specialist engineers, all of who enjoy collaborating, supporting and sharing their knowledge and mentoring each other. This is a great opportunity for someone with relevant industry experience or looking to transfer their skills into the renewable sector. The role is varied and offers exposure to both geothermal and hydro generation, all within close proximity of our offices.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Develop and maintain pressure equipment asset management standards, including establishing and continuously improving standards, policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed and comply with regulations and company policies.
Maintain the pressure equipment management system and carry out the administrative requirements of the Pressure Equipment Management Procedures.
Oversee work relating to pressure equipment and be the subject matter expert and technical authority.

We are looking for:

Degree or higher qualification in Engineering with significant experience.
Significant experience in Mechanical Engineering.
Strong experience in roles related to pressure equipment.
Strong technical expertise in mechanical engineering principles and practices.
Familiarity with New Zealand pressure equipment regulations.
