Our public sector client is seeking a lawyer to join their family law and litigation team. This role offers the chance to provide legal advice on a breadth of matters at varying levels of complexity. This will be a great next step for a lawyer who wants to develop their skills in Court.You will be responsible for providing advice internally and externally. This will suit a lawyer who is purpose-driven and who has an empathetic approach to their work. You will get time in Court as well as exposure to all aspects of the litigation process.Your work will include identifying legal risks and issues, providing specialised dispute resolutions and negotiations, and being responsible and accountable for the conduct of proceedings across various Courts including but not limited to the District Court, Family Court, and other Tribunals.Mohou ake | About you1-7 years' post admission experienceFamily law and/or litigation experience will be consideredCultural competency is essential - you must be able to demonstrate a commitment to and respect of Te TiritiStrong interpersonal skillsCurrent practising certificate or eligibility to hold oneFlexible working options including remote or part-time will be considered for the right person. There may be some travel required so a current driver's licence is important.
