If so, the Social Worker in Schools (SWIS) program is looking for someone like you to be part of our mission to enhance the life outcomes of these young minds. About Us: The SWIS program was established to empower children facing social and family challenges that put their education, social well-being, and health at risk. We work collaboratively with children and families in a voluntary partnership, and our team members enjoy the benefits of SW pay equity. Key Competencies: We're on the hunt for a qualified Social Worker who is not just a professional, but an advocate for change. The ideal candidate will: Partner with schools and families, making a real difference in the lives of children Possess a strengths-based, solution-focused, child-centered, and culturally responsive approach Be fully committed to upholding the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi Exhibit a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children and their families Bring a responsive, creative, and flexible approach to social work Hold a degree in Social Work and ideally possess post-qualification experience Have professional registration or be actively working towards it Demonstrate the ability to work both independently within schools and as a part of the SWIS team Possess knowledge and experience in case work and group work with both children and adults.
