Qualified Social Worker
Hours: Full time (37 hours)
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £36,648 - £43,421 (subject to experience)
£44,428 - £47,420 for Approved Mental Health Professionals
We are currently recruiting to our Older Persons Community Mental Health Team where there is one full-time vacancy for a Level 3 Social Worker/AMHP.

Joining Our Team
BCP Council has a number of Social Work teams that operate across all specialist areas, including Adults and Older People's Mental Health, Preparing for Adulthood Services, Learning Disability Services, Autism services, Forensic, Assertive Outreach and Community Rehabilitation Teams. Given the nature of this role it is a requirement for applicants to hold the necessary professional qualification, and registration to practice as a Social Worker in the UK through Social Work England.
The successful candidate will need to have demonstrable experience in working within a specialist service with knowledge of application of the Care Act.

An enthusiastic and motivated professional is sought, who can work autonomously, and as part of the team, whilst contributing proactively to the development of the service and meeting the core objectives of BCP Council, meeting the demands of the older population within a defined geographical area. This is a single full-time vacancy based within an Older Persons Community Mental Health Team (OPCMHT). This team benefits from the active involvement of a Psychiatrist, Psychologist, Clinical Team Leader, Social Work Team Manager, Community Mental Health Nurses, a Support Time Recovery Worker, and administration support. This post is open to applicants with a demonstrable history of working as a Social Worker at a level 2, and keen to move into a more autonomous role, or those already practicing at a level 3. The requisite Qualifications and demonstrable experience in practice as a BIA and a Safeguarding Practitioner is essential for this role. An AMHP qualification is preferable, but not essential, as the successful applicant will have an opportunity to work towards this qualification under the sponsorship of BCP Council if successful.
What You Can Expect to be Doing
You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team of skilled and experienced professionals carrying out holistic, assessments of need and support, coupled with care and support planning and reviewing packages of care.
Flexibility
We can offer opportunities for flexible working such as part-time or compressed hours (though you may need to work some unsocial hours, depending on your contract), and can consider the best location for you as we have hubs across Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. We also support an element of home working as part of our agile hybrid model.

Diploma in Social Work (DipSW)
BSc / BA Social Work (BSc/BASW)
Masters in Social Work (MSW)
Social Work Degree Apprenticeship (SWDA)
Equivalent Oversees Qualification (must be validated by Social Work England)
