The role reports to the Network & Security Manager and will be responsible for maintaining and implementing network & security solutions that meet LNZ's security, availability and capacity requirements. You'll support the LNZ cybersecurity capability in the areas of network architecture, security operations, threat intelligence and incident response.
Your day-to-day:
Production System Availability
Support and resolve issues in the production environment to meet SLA's.
Ensure necessary monitoring for reliable service delivery.
Ensure production networks are adequately sized.
Environment Support:
Ensure compliance with Lotto NZ BCP guidelines and capacity planning.
Collaborate with QA and Development managers for non-production network readiness.
Improve automation of provisioning with the IT team.
Network & Security Operations:
Monitor threat intelligence and respond to incidents with the Security and Risk team.
Assist with day-to-day network and security operations, including upgrades.
Ensure end-to-end security design in projects.
Reduce cyber risk in network architecture, security operations, and incident response.
Have or gain professional membership in security organizations.
Respond to security incidents as directed.
Design and implement overlay network components.
Support security goals and milestones in the technology roadmap.
Change Control:
Adhere to internal software change control processes.
Ensure external suppliers follow Lotto NZ Change Control processes.

5+ years in operating network and security technologies
Experience with network automation and operation of large-scale network topologies.
Have exposure to incident response situations and development using Python and Shell Scripting
Experience with Virtualization - VMWare and Azure
You will have:
Previous experience in operating network and security technologies.
Exposure to the handling and responding of Internet security attacks/incidents.
Experience with the operation of large-scale network topologies.
Understanding of security principles associated with networks, proxies, firewalls, routers & VPNs.
An understanding of current legislation and governing network security standards.
A desire to learn more about emerging security technologies and tactics and their application to the enterprise.
