Otaki Hydroponics has been operating in the Kapiti area for 25 years. We manufacture hydroponic nutrients and sell hydroponic nutrients and equipment. We pride ourselves on being a friendly store and know many of our customers on a first name basis.
We are looking for someone to provide assistance in running the shop and support the manufacturing of hydroponic nutrients.
Main Tasks Assist with customer enquiries and transactions (face-to-face, emails, and over the phone) ensuring a high level of professionalism is always observed.
Professionally arrange and replenish stock on display as required. Ensure the shop is presentable at all times.
Provide support to the manufacturing and warehousing of the business.
Provide support that the garden in front of the shop is maintained and presented in a professional manner.
On occasions, will be responsible for running the shop efficiently and keeping it open during normal business hours.
Assist in updating the Website and Facebook page.
Must be willing to work every other Saturday.
Experience: Advantage to have experience in the retail section, horticulture industry, or hydroponic industry.
Desired Competencies Have an affinity for and experience in delivering excellent customer service, friendly and approachable personality.
Be able to learn new tasks and information quickly.
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be willing to work hard and not afraid to get your hands dirty.
Have advanced work knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Have knowledge in hydroponics, gardening, and/or retail.
Have working knowledge in updating websites (Shopify) and Facebook.
Knowledge in digital marketing would be advantageous.
