We're seeking a vibrant, motivated, creative, and passionate educator with a sparkling personality to join our well-resourced centre to support our tamariki, parents and whanau in facilitating child-led play.
You will work alongside our Centre whanau to open the sessions and guide activities, facilitate learning for our members and tamariki while role modelling child-led play and positive guidance.
To support whanau in the use of Te Reo Maori, encourage participation in the Playcentre Education programme to increase qualification levels at our centre, and demonstrate the benefits of participating to whanau.
Let your inner author shine writing learning stories highlighting tamariki achievements, developments, learning and wonders while supporting whanau with exploring their light bulb moments.
We are all about mentoring and supporting parents/whanau/members/tamariki as they explore and learn with their children during these very special years.

Start date: 3 rd March 2025
Location: Te Puke Playcentre 5 Stock Road, Te Puke 3119
Days & hours: Permanent; Wednesday and Thursday 8.45am–1pm 8.5 hours p/w (during term time only)
The ideal candidate will: Hold a Playcentre Course 3 qualification or higher or an Early Childhood qualification of Level 4 or higher.
Hold a current First Aid Certificate or be willing to achieve this.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with tamariki and adults.

Knowledge of ECE regulations and ability to use technology.
