Duties & Responsibilities
- Answering telephone inquiries and assisting clients as required.
- Carry out commissioning and set up of new machines in line with the company best practice standards.
- Installing and testing products, equipment, and machinery and providing instructions to customers on the proper usage of their product.
- Carry out preventative maintenance as directed and in line with the company requirements and standards.
- Attend callout breakdowns as required.
- Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluating the available information.
- Fixing defective or broken products or request the necessary parts to replace faulty or worn-out parts.
- Completion of all paperwork on the conclusion of each job whilst still on the job.
- Complete of all other paperwork such as timesheets and the like within the expectations and timeline of the business.
- Maintain a professional and helpful disposition when working with all stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Ensure the customer understands our approach to each job and provide a debrief on completion to ensure they are well informed.
- Maintain a high level of customer service to ensure an exceptional service experience with Contour.
- A high level of travel will be required due to the geographical spread of our customers.
- Promote the company's services in everything we do.
- Ensure the company brand and values is well represented always.
- Attendance to all training organised by the company.
- Act in a safe manner always to enhance the Contour health & safety culture.
- Completion of other duties as directed from time to time.

Skills, Experience and Education - Requires a good understanding of mechanics and electrics with a problem solving mindset
- 5+ years' experience in a service technician or similar service-related role.
- Relevant tertiary qualification or industry experience. Diploma in Electrical Engineering from NZDE Approved
- Technical qualification in Electrical Trade. Must have an electrical licence in NZ
- Must have Mechanical skillset
- Minimum two years of experience in food & beverage industry would be advantageous.
- Willingness to travel extensively in New Zealand, Australia and Overseas.
- Prior experience in working in multinational teams is preferred
- Proficiency in English
- Confident with excellent communication and relationship building skills, face-to-face, on the phone and in writing.
- Excellent listening and critical thinking skills – the ability to ask relevant questions, be a good listener and be able to adapt the discussion accordingly.
- Strong planning and time management skills.
