We're seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join one of our API Squads to build Microservices and APIs on a brand-new Cloud Integration Platform. Join us to work on modern tech stacks such as .NET 6+, Microservice, GraphQL, Docker and Kubernetes. Be part of Kiwibank as it takes banking for New Zealanders on an evolutionary journey.
In this role you will:
Work in an agile team to build and deliver robust, high-quality software.
Help support our existing applications and be part of our migration to a new modern cloud stack, with opportunities to build, learn and grow along the way.
Provide your expertise to the Development teams, the Product Owner, Security, and Architecture and have a say in the design and direction of the products that you work on.
Review teams codebases and maintain high standards for security, testability, etc.
Establish good engineering practices and embedding them in the team.

At Kiwibank, we will help you build on your strengths and learn new skills, but in the meantime, we would love to hear from you if you have some of the following:
At least 5+ years' experience with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
Demonstrable experience with REST APIs with contract first approach and standards like OpenAPI/Swagger.
Experience with application observability such as logging, monitoring, metrics and have experience with relevant tooling to ensure the reliability of the applications.
Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure with CI/CD practices.
Experience with unit and component/integration testing as part of day-to-day development, ideally utilizing TDD techniques.
Ability to help and motivate other engineers in an Agile environment.
Bonus (not essential but advantageous to have)
Familiar with application deployment for cloud native platforms and delivering apps to run on Docker/Kubernetes.
Experience building and/or migrating to microservices i.e. Designing and building de-coupled, re-usable component-based applications.
Experience with event driven architectures with platforms like Apache Kafka.
Experience with GraphQL.
Experience in building secure systems I.e. Authentication and Authorisation and OWASP testing tools.
Ability to lead or facilitate discussions around system design and practices.
