Located within the community in Rotorua, the residence provides support for people who have complex needs beyond the normal capability of residential mental health providers. Its name means outstretched hands and it's a place where people from within the Lakes rohe can rebuild their lives and go back to the community.By utilising different skills, knowledge, and experiences (personal and professional), we offer our whai ora support to build daily routines, offering ongoing tools and encouragement to develop, grow, and flourish.Role | Nga mahiIn this role, you will utilise skills and knowledge in your chosen registered field to support the plans for whai ora within the service. This means working alongside Kaimahi (residential/peer support Workers) and Team Manager, effectively ensuring service meets whai ora outcomes. You will work directly with the whai ora, identifying strengths, goals, and issues. Along with this, you will also be coordinating whai ora; entry, client pathway, reviews, external client meetings, as well as exit.You will also be responsible for whai ora audits and across all aspects of medications, including supporting other nurses in their role, and ensuring all medication processes are followed.You will | Nga PukengaBe registered and have a current practicing certificate in Nursing.Must have practiced for some time in Mental Health.Full NZ Drivers License.Hold a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship.Have a client-centred, recovery-focused approach.
