They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join our dynamic team in Christchurch. Role Overview: They are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is driven, detail-oriented, and has a deep understanding of the commercial HVAC industry. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring the financial success of projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will excel in traditional quantity surveying tasks and possess strong business development skills to help grow our client base. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC projects. Manage project budgets and financial forecasts. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project requirements are met. Conduct site visits to assess project progress and compliance. Provide expert advice on procurement and contract management. Assist in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. Manage all enquiries and allocate CQ numbers for pricing, budgeting, and design purposes. Attend tender meetings, providing thorough assessments and documentation reviews. Qualifications and Skills: Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying, preferably within the HVAC industry. Strong understanding of cost management and estimation techniques. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficient in relevant software and tools.
