We have a newly created opening for a Senior Procurement Specialist to join an evolving commercial procurement function. This opportunity involves spearheading procurement strategies and processes to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across diverse categories.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
Lead the end-to-end procurement process, including supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide expert guidance on procurement best practices.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential vendors, assess market trends, and leverage opportunities for cost savings and quality enhancements.
Manage supplier relationships, performance evaluations, and contract renewals to optimise value delivery.
Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, maintaining transparent and auditable procurement records.
Requirements:
Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in procurement ideally at Specialist level, demonstrating expertise in procurement processes and category management.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent analytical abilities with a strategic mindset, adept at interpreting complex data and market trends to inform procurement decisions.
Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
