We are growing our team – come join us!Build your expertise in one of NZ's largest public sector procuring agenciesFlexible, friendly, and high performing work environment Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity As one of our new Senior Procurement Specialists reporting to our Procurement Business Partner – Digital, you will support the planning, sourcing, and management of best practice procurement through the application of appropriate strategies, methodologies, systems, processes and tools across all stages of the procurement life cycle to drive value for money outcomes. This new position will have a strong Digital delivery focus, particularly within the sourcing and management phases. Working in one of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest public sector procuring agencies, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to build your procurement expertise in a supportive environment while undertaking varied and interesting work.

O Pumanawa | What we're looking for Our ideal candidate will have some or all of the following (but don't worry if you don't tick every box).
Strong understanding of procurement practices, ideally within a complex public sector environment, with digital or related professional services procurement experience preferredA sound knowledge of government procurement policies, rules and process.Experience in planning and managing a range of end-to-end sourcing processes, ideally using a variety of approach to market mechanismsExperience in managing contracts, including supplier performance management, using formal structured contract management processes and practicesSound commercial acumen, with good data and financial literacyExperience in formal structured contract management of strategically important contractsA Tertiary qualification in a related discipline or equivalent experience, with CIPS or related professional industry membership preferredHe aha te take e uru ai koe ki a matou? | So, why join us? The Procurement function at NZTA is responsible for planning, sourcing, and managing the supply of external resources to NZTA. Procurement is an essential part of how NZTA delivers our critical business functions to support Te Kapehu, our strategic direction. Many functions of NZTA are performed, in full or part, using external suppliers and we are one of Aotearoa New Zealand's largest public sector procuring agencies. NZTA is not only responsible for its own procurement requirements, but it also leads procurement practice across much of the land transport sector.
