About the role: Excellent planning is required to meet the infrastructure demands of the future, particularly in our growing urban areas. Stantec is involved in key strategy and infrastructure planning projects for large water suppliers in New Zealand. We are looking for an experienced Network Planner to provide technical direction and input on modelling and network planning projects and proposals, including client liaison and business development to continue to grow and expand our local water business. You will work with the Stantec water leadership to develop services, positioning us to win and deliver work for key clients across New Zealand and the Pacific. Essential Functions: Lead and oversee the technical delivery of projects won, ensuring deliverables meet or exceed client and project expectations including resolving any technical issues that arise. Extensive experience in Potable Water hydraulic model development including the creation of a large number of strategic master plans for short to long-term infrastructure requirements. Experience in water supply systems in terms of Operation and Optimisation, including analysis of monitoring field data. Additional knowledge in leakage management, pressure management design, water quality modelling, operational management and asset planning. Experience in concept design aspects around development of high-level options to feasible solutions. Knowledge and experience using multiple water modelling software platforms particularly Infoworks WS Pro, DHI Mike Urban and WaterGEMs plus GIS platforms ArcGIS and QGIS. Develop and maintain key client relationships in New Zealand. Identify and develop business opportunities in New Zealand including liaison with prospective clients to understand the scope of projects and preparing proposals. In consultation with project managers, ensure technical risks of projects are identified and strategies are developed and implemented to mitigate them. Deliver within client requirements by managing allocated projects and tasks in line with Stantec project management requirements and assigned authority. Lead proposal and bid development to build the service offering within the region, including preparing proposal material as required. Minimise and control risk through commitment to Stantec's Quality, Health, & Safety programmes and proactive use of our project management systems. About you: You will bring 12+ years' experience in Network Planning and Modelling coupled with a Geography, Science, or Engineering degree.
