Monument is looking for a Senior Pricing & Data Analyst to ensure ongoing profitability and growth, pricing model development, the reliability of its data and suitability of its reporting suite.

Based in Auckland and reporting to Monument's Head of Product & Pricing, this role will be responsible for:
Owning, maintaining and sophisticating pricing models towards the goal of increasing business growth, financial profitability, customer experience and/or operational efficiency.
Recommending and justifying price changes in collaboration with business stakeholders.
Responsibility for the suitability, accuracy, cleanliness and quality of the data used by Monument, including supporting the implementation and testing of pricing and system changes.
Ownership of Monument's business reporting suite – its maintenance, development and improvement to continually meet the changing needs of the business.
The sharing of results, analysis, key findings or similar insights with various stakeholders across the business in a manner which is easily consumed and understood.
Growing the teams' knowledge through mentoring, documentation and being curious.
Our Ideal Candidate would have:
Experience in analytics, reporting, insurance pricing, the provision of business insights or similar analytics field.
A relevant tertiary qualification (statistics, mathematics, science, engineering or commerce).
Competency with data analytics software and associated business tools (particularly Microsoft Excel, SQL, R and Power BI).
Strong analytical, data preparation, data modelling and visualisation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to a wide range of audiences.
Strong attention to detail.
Relationship management skills – able to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Autonomous working habits, adhering to deadlines.
Insurance Industry experience, particularly commercial insurance, would be an advantage.
