We are keen to hear from Planners who are passionate about our district, enjoy processing applications of varying degrees, and feel excited about developing our junior staff. Finding the right person is paramount to us so we want to have open discussions around hybrid and flexible work arrangements.Some of the work you will be involved with includes:Provide planning advice to the public, consultants, and staff,Play an integral role in shaping the plan making alongside the district plan team,Efficiently process resource consent applications within statutory timeframes,Take the lead in managing projects and facilitate pre-lodgment meetings,Act as an expert witness on appeals and mediation, as required,Write and review notification reports,Administer and implement the District Plan and respond to enquiries and correspondence relating to complex development proposals,Provide input into process improvement.About youWe are looking for someone who can provide support to the team while managing their own workload and impart a wide variety of skills and experience to the organization. You may be ready for the next step up in your career, or a seasoned Senior Planner looking to relocate to beautiful Whangarei. Either way, you will be someone who thrives with challenges and enjoys variety.
