Our client, part of a global group, designs, manufactures, and distributes throughout New Zealand and internationally, heavy industry earthmoving attachments for construction, demolition, quarrying and mining industries.
With plenty of work and continual growth, they have a need for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their Tauranga based team.
The Role
You will be responsible for leading the design of heavy industry earthmoving attachment products.
Specifically, you will:
Research and design new products and continually identify improvements to existing products Undertake FEA and hydraulic design calculations Provide 3D models and detailed drawings Liaise with suppliers and customers and provide technical support To be successful in the role you will: Be a tertiary qualified Mechanical Engineering (BE Mech preferred) Have proven design experience at a senior level within heavy industry product design Be proficient working with Solid Edge (preferred) or similar Personally, you will have excellent communication skills, have attention to detail, and be a proven team player committed and motivated to completing work in an accurate and timely manner.
