Senior Library and Council Services Assistant - Pasifika Permanent part-time opportunity, 20 hours per week including Saturday, based at Toia Library
A permanent part-time position has arisen working at the Mangere-Otahuhu local board and based at Toia Library.
Come join our community-focused library within this rewarding position. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional programmes and delivering outstanding customer service. We are currently looking for a new team member who has the confidence and creativity to engage with Pasifika kaiga across the local board.
In this role you will develop, deliver and promote Pasifika services both in the library and through outreach programmes. You will work closely with the Pasifika team in the Mangere - Otahuhu board area, championing Pasifika initiatives while also being a valued member of our wider Pasifika kaiga in the Aukilani region.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is inspired and excited about working with our Pasifika communities. Strong communication and digital skills are a must as well as an ability to foster literacy and community engagement.
You need to relate well to people of all ages and backgrounds, be reliable, flexible, confident and spontaneous. You will also need to share and contribute to our vision of making a difference to Pasifika people in the local board.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
Passion for the Pasifika community
Experience in providing community services/customer service
Evidence of working with people from diverse ethnic backgrounds
Ability to champion literacy and community engagement
If you can speak a Pasifika language, this would be an advantage
