The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Investigator to join our Compliance team on a full time, permanent basis in Dunedin, Queenstown or Alexandra.
The purpose of the role is to provide quality technical and procedural advice and support for investigations of RMA contraventions.
The Senior Investigator carries out complex, sensitive investigations on environmental offending and pollution complaints.
You will be managing a varied caseload of complex matters, which will include interviewing appropriate key parties, collating evidence and producing detailed and accurate reports in a timely manner As a Senior Investigator, you will be responsible for: Carrying out complex investigations Preparing and managing case files and investigation reports Preparing briefs of evidence and preparing witnesses for hearings Giving evidence in Court Contributing to the wider projects of the ORC Compliance Team Responding to pollution complaints Carrying out inspections to determine compliance with various legislation.
If you are interested in working to protect our environment in both proactive and reactive ways, then this is the role for you About You Relevant qualification in investigations, science, engineering or environmental management and/or relevant experience in a related field Full current drivers' license 5+ years regulatory compliance experience working, ideally within local or central government A high level of computer literacy.
